Glencoe Mansion, Museum, and Gallery will host an exhibition highlighting a newly curated collection of rare, military photographs from the early 20th century. The exhibition “Answering the Call” is composed of images from the collection of Radford’s Harvey-Howe-Carper Post 30 of the American Legion.
The images span from 1909 through the late 1940s, with the vast majority of the images showing life for Radford’s Company M of the National Guard during the years right before the country’s entry into World War I. These images show life for these men from military drills and training to everyday activities like kitchen duty and even just candid moments.
There will be a free public reception on Sunday, October 25, from 1 to 2:30 PM.
